About Our Practice

PEDIATRIC MEDICAL ASSOCIATES is a well established Pediatric Practice that has been providing optimal medical care for infants, children, and adolescents since 1981.

We are a group of three Board Certified Pediatricians and Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Our three pediatricians and one Nurse Practitioner provide a full range of
medical care in our state-of-the-art Pediatric office. Each Provider has a certified Medical Assistant that assists the providers in the care of your child.

There is always a Pediatrician and Medical Assistant available for the health care needs of your infant, child, or adolescent during regular office hours. If your personal Pediatrician is not available, then one of our other Pediatricians or the Nurse Practitioner and Medical Assistants is available for acute care needs. Pediatric Medical Associates allows YOU to decide with whom you would like to schedule an appointment.

Our administrative office staff works diligently to make your scheduling, check in, and payment process as efficient and helpful as possible.

Choosing a Pediatrician is a very important decision. Factors to consider are finding a Pediatrician who shares your philosophy on the medical care of your child, immunizations, and insurance coverage.

To help you decide whether our Pediatricians and Pediatric Practice are the right choice for you:

  • Read about our Providers
  • Verify that our Pediatricians and NP are credentialed in the network with your insurance plan

You are welcome to come by the office for a tour and meet with the office manager anytime during regular business hours. The doctors have also set aside certain times to meet with first-time parents as prenatal visits or pre-pediatric visits for families new to our practice.

These optional complimentary prospective appointments can be made by contacting our scheduling desk at 480.839.4848

HOSPITALS which PEDIATRIC MEDICAL ASSOCIATES are currently affiliated with:

  • Banner Children’s at Banner Desert Medical Center
  • Banner Gateway

NOTE: The Pediatricians of Pediatric Medical Associates do not use Pediatric Hospitalists to care for your newborn when delivered at one of the above hospitals. They care for your newborn themselves! This allows for the greatest continuity of care provided to your newborn by someone you have developed a relationship with and by someone you trust. YOUR PEDIATRICIAN will be responsible for coordination of care with the nursing staff and specialist physicians if needed.

If you deliver at one of the hospitals where the doctors are staff members, all you need to do is notify the hospital staff of your choice of Pediatrician at the time of pre-registration or by the time of delivery or during the admission process. Be sure to make this known to avoid being assigned to the Hospitalist on staff. Our Pediatricians see their own newborns during the week and cross-cover each other on weekends or during vacations.

Don’t forget to make sure your insurance company adds your new baby to your insurance policy.

Paperwork is completed during your first visit or we provide our patients with office forms on this website for your convenience. We recommend that you fill out these forms and print them at home to save you time while in our office.

To transfer your child to our office, please do the following:

  • Confirm with your insurance company that our Pediatricians accept your health insurance plan
  • Some insurance plans require you to contact them and select a primary care physician(PCP). This must be done before being seen by our Pediatricians to insure the insurance company will pay for the claim.
  • Visit our forms page where you can complete and send to your previous pediatrician an authorization so your child’s records can be transferred to us. When your child is seen for the first time, we would appreciate a copy of his/her immunization record and any health records you may already have.
  • Call to make an appointment at 480.839.4848 to schedule your child’s appointment.
